We are excited to debut the new, official logo for Bethel Mennonite Church! Over the years, a church's website has become the "front door" for many people looking for a new church, and the necessity of an online presence over the last year and a half has only pushed forward that change. In an effort to create an inviting online presence that represents us well, we have worked to create this new logo for our church.
There are two main concepts integrated into the design that were crucial in representing our church well:
1. We are a multi-generational church that honours our traditions and history but also look ahead to the future. This is expressed in the blend of contemporary and traditional design. The font used is more traditional, while the main "B" with the leaves leans more contemporary.
2. We are a church seeking to think and act like a church plant. (Remind yourself of our vision here!) This is illustrated in the leaves growing up from the "B". Everything we do is rooted in Christ, but we are seeking to grow as a church body and branch out to reach the people in our community.
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
