Dear Bethel Family,
We as a church are in a very important season. Over a series of three meetings in the coming weeks, we will come together to discuss, discern, and decide what steps our church will take in response to the four Vision Statements God gave us in the summer of 2019. This Sunday, February 20th, is our discussion meeting (in person and on Zoom) in which details will be presented regarding three options we are exploring as a church. The goal of this meeting is for us to clearly understand each of these options. We won't be debating or voting on anything but simply presenting details and giving time to ask clarifying questions.
At the bottom of this e-mail you will see a link to a document. The Elders have put together this document to answer two primary questions:
1. Why are we having this discussion?
2. What exactly is involved with each of the three options being presented?
We will go through this document on Sunday but do prayerfully review it in advance if you have time. The goal of this meeting is for us all to understand each of the three options and we want to do whatever we can to help make this happen! Please come prepared to ask clarifying questions on Sunday or, if you prefer, reach out to one of the Elders or Pastor Jon after Sunday's meeting and they will be happy to answer any questions you have.
Please continue to be in prayer for us as a church. Pray that we would "keep in step with the Holy Spirit," that we would keep "our eyes fixed on Jesus," and that we would "trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding" knowing that "He will make our paths straight!"
